About me

I am Computer Scientist by the Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid, and am finishing my master degree on Computer Science.

I started working at the university, the Technological Infrastructure (Communications) department, and I was there for more than 2 years, focusing on telephony, network services, web applications and security.

Then I started working as a Middleware Engineer in RedIRIS, the Spanish National Research and Education Network, where I worked also as System Administrator during the first years.

My work focused on digital identity and service monitoring mainly, and I became the head of the Spanish Research and Education Identity Federation, called SIR, and the Monitoring Service, among many other things.

As part of my job there, I've attended many meetings across Europe, and been part of some working groups and initiatives, like the Task Force for European Middleware Collaboration and Coordination, the Europeam Committee on Academic Middleware and the REFEDS initiative. I've also published some papers to the TERENA Networking Conference, where I gave talks several times.

After all that experience gained through almost six years of work at RedIRIS, I decided to move on and continue my work abroad, this time at the Norwegian National Research and Education Network, UNINETT, where I am currently going on with my work on digital identity and identity federations.

I love computer science, security and programming. I love traveling and taking pictures of the many places I've been to. You can find some of my articles, computer software and pictures all along this pages. If you want more info about my professional experience and education, please, take a look at my resume.
